I agree with you that he does get back, but he hedged so far out that he started the rotation process for the Spurs. It isn’t just that Ginobili isn’t used to defending the PNR, but it is that his teammates aren’t used to seeing Ginobili defend it either. So when he hedges that far out, his teammates thinks that he is switching the screen, even though he isn’t.

I don’t see it in the first video…Gonobli gets back to Hill and Hill pauses and lets him regain his defensive position. They lose the guy cutting under the basket, I don’t think this is related to the pnr.

I agree UNO that is the time when the Spurs are usually in lock down mode and usually win big games I was thinking which team am I watching cause this is not what I’m used to from the championship d’ Spurs

Spot on analysis per usual. Yeah, it started to get difficult to watch once the Suns kept going to the Nash & Amare pick and roll. They ran it successfully like 5 times in a row late in the 4th.

watching the game, i could not believe how undisciplined the spurs were on defense, they seriously had no answers for the pick and roll the suns ran at the end of the game, as well as quick hitters and offensive rebounds.
