is not on his abilities but he seems to lack of will because i don't think amundson had great skill but the difference is that when i came in he really want to be useful for the team and so he gave all he had on the field and i don't see that in clark that just what i've meant and that's only my opinion

thanks for the good analysis on Gani
i expect more of him than earl clark who have really disappointed me and i agree with paqs but i’m not sure that he can replace Lou this year maybe next year
</blockquote>
why are you disappointed with Earl Clark when he doesn’t have enough playing time to show his skills?

Great analysis. I was impressed by the same things as you watching the summer league games. Lawal looks to be a season or two ahead in progression of what I thought he was. Pleasant surprise. He can be effective this year when we need a banger in that second unit (in stead of Warrick) to balance out Frye's lack of rebounding and defense. Other than that, when Lopez gets in foul trouble, he will also come in handy.

Thanks for the comment Paqs. I know that you can't make too much of free throw rate in summer league (refs are calling everything because they are being evaluated after every game, just like the players). However, I think it is important with Lawal, because he was able to have such a high free throw rate in college, and being able to translate that to the pros (even in summer league) is a good sign.

Nice writeup.

I just want to say you can't read too much into free throw rates in summer league, what with all the extra fouls available.

Suns fans aren't expecting a lot of Lawal, if he can come in an grab a couple of rebounds, push people around, he'll be a fan favourite, a la Lou Amundson.
